Sarah Symes dyes fabrics then cuts them into different shapes and strips of fabrics before sewing them together in an improvised manner. Her work is inspired by cities and landscapes such as mountains.
Her work is very abstract and bold with the use of electric colours. I really enjoy her method of creating and the straight lines shown in many of her works as it looks geometric.

Josefina Concha creates delicately stitched pieces using a free hand sewing machines. Her works are inspired by nature, skin, hair, plants and animals. I find her work interesting through the way she layers the threads when sewing to create volume in her work. Her technique is very expressive and that is something i am trying to pick up and create my own style of through my work.

Derick Melander collects old clothes from people and creates art pieces by folding them and stacking them to create a structure. I find his key to detail very intriguing as his artworks contain beautiful gradients of colour. Also i love using leftover/ old materials that usually are thrown away for being out of use.
